citrine for success and positive energy

Description: Citrine is a yellow to brown form of quartz, with most pieces a golden yellow that’s reminiscent of topaz. It forms naturally when trace amounts of iron are trapped in quartz as it crystallizes. This is the same process that forms amethyst; the only difference is that citrine forms under higher temperature. In fact, most citrine available commercially is made by heating amethyst, as naturally occurring citrine is rare.

Metaphysical uses: Citrine is the “Merchant’s Stone,” because it is associated with success and prosperity. Older references are rare because it’s been confused with topaz until relatively recent times, but this use has been consistent. The oldest text known considered citrine especially appropriate for the traveling salesman, as it protected him from “pestilential vapours” while he was on the road. More recently, citrine has been associated with the solar plexus chakra. It aids healing throughout the digestive system, and aids metabolism in general. For example, even though the thyroid gland is typically associated with the throat chakra because of its position, healers may use citrine to enhance its function.

CITRINE: Use at the 3rd Chakra (Solar Plexus Chakra) or at the 7th Chakra (Crown Chakra) for increasing creativity, for protection from negative energies, to activate the intuition, to manifest abundance, wealth, and prosperity, to encourage sharing, to promote joy, to increase self-esteem and confidence, to encourage a positive attitude, to enhance concentration, to overcome one’s fears, to increase ease of communication, to balance the emotions, to instill inner-strength to diminish symptoms from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, to help eye problems, to help with blood circulation, to relieve menstrual or digestive problems, and to balance the thyroid. Since Citrine is a variety of Quartz, these properties also apply.
