Mimosa psychic Mari Powers now offers individual and semi-individual classes in Tarot, Astrology and Dream Interpretation. These classes are $90 per one-hour session for one or two people; if two attend, they may split this fee. Reading assignments will be provided at the time you sign up. You can schedule a class for any time when Mari is in the store; her schedule is available on our website. If you’d like to set up a time, just inquire at the front desk or phone Mimosa at 608/256-5432.
Tarot Workshop: This one-hour workshop is designed to give you a brief overview of basic structure of Tarot elements, types of cards within a deck, and basic numerology. It can help you become a better reader, or decide if you’re interested in study further to become a master of the Tarot. It will also help you get more out of the readings you get from others and the ones you do for yourself. This class covers the basics in a short amount of time, with the understanding that there is a structure to follow for learning this complex system which does not require memorizing the “meaning” of every single card from every deck.
Please bring a notebook or paper and pen. You may also use a cell phone or camera to take pictures of cards. Mari will bring several decks for use in the class, and you’re welcome to bring one of your own as well.
Astrology Workshops: These three classes are geared toward beginners and will form the pattern for more in depth learning and study. Each focuses on one major aspect of astrology: The Planets, The Signs of the Zodiac, and The Houses. To prepare for your first class, you will have to know your date, time and place of birth. You can then print a chart from astro.com which you can bring to each class. It is suggested, though not required, that you take all three classes in the order listed. However, you’re welcome to take just one or two — whatever meets your needs. Bringing in your chart and taking notes is required.
Dream Interpretation Workshop: Different types of dreams may have different relationships with our waking lives. Some dreams serve as mental “dust heaps” of stray ideas, while others may have a deeper meaning, whether emotional or even prophetic. This workshop will help you understand the differences between these types of dreams, curb the anxiety that may come from disturbing dreams, and make the most of the intuitive messages we all receive. This approach is far more relevant to daily life than simplistic lists of correspondences.
